A color-claiming app
The mug on your desk. The door you pass every day. The sky at exactly the wrong moment to look up. Every color tells a story — snap it, name it, and claim it as your own.
How it works
No mixing sliders, no eyeballing a color wheel — Swatchy reads the pixel your finger is actually on.
Take a picture, or pick one from your library — whatever has the color you're after.
Press and drag anywhere on the photo. A loupe zooms in as you go; lift your finger to claim that exact spot.
Swatchy suggests a name from the nearest known color — keep it or rename it, then save it or post it to the feed.
The feed
Discover is a browsable wall of every named color, searchable by name or hex — scroll it like a paint deck someone else already flipped through.
Post a claim to the home feed and people can like it. Press and hold any photo post and a marker appears showing exactly where on the picture the color came from.
Target
Yours
R 4 · G 11 · B 2
Score 17 — lower is closer, zero is exact
The weekly palette
Every Monday, Swatchy hands out five colors — the same five for everyone, chosen fresh each week.
Find something in the real world that matches one, photograph it, and press to sample it exactly like claiming a color. Swatchy checks your photo against the target, channel by channel, and scores how far off each of red, green, and blue came out.
